We could tell from the moment we spotted Victoria Beckham keeping it both smart and casual in pair of simply tailored trousers and a made-to-measure shirt what to expect on the fashion catwalks. Bombarded with suit after suit, donned by both male and female models, in a variety of shapes, sizes and colours, paired with skirts, heels, brogues and enormous handbags, we could tell we were going to get along with this season’s trend.
Popular celebrities such as George Lamb and David Beckham have been promoting the power of the suit and just how good it can make someone look and feel for a while now, while more recently, an increasing amount of female celebs have been stepping out in tailored trousers with matching suit jackets. While once the suit was limited to the office, now it would appear that it is a fashion statement, and one that is about to become quite a lot of fun.
Attending the Milan, New York and London fashion shows we’ve seen men and women sporting an array of fabulous tailored suits, in emerald green, with cropped trousers or jackets, textured and all well coordinated. As it doesn’t simply seem to be any particular suit, but simply all suits that are in fashion right now (providing their tailored well), this trend will suit anyone and everyone. The only question is, how adventurous will you get with your suits?
